Seeds of Hope

Welcome to the Human Rights Narratives Project.

The project seeks to collect personal human rights stories impacting people from around the world and thoughtful analysis of those events. In allowing these stories to be told, it first tries to educate by revealing these accounts. Thus, we encourage firsthand accounts as much as possible.

Secondly, we hope that these stories will humanize the "other", regardless of national, ethnic or religious background, and begin to break down barriers of misperception or bias.

Thirdly, we hope that these stories would encourage action toward justice when that is required.

And, finally, we hope that an open dialogue might result in positive discussion on remedies for some of the issues shared.

This project is an experiment, which uses new technology to highlight old issues, which tries to shine a light into murky waters, and seeks to use the collaboration of people from all backgrounds and cultures—to not simply dwell on problems...but to collectively till the parched soil of injustice to plant seeds of hope for a new reality.
